Apprenticeship Woodworker EBA Focus on industry (m|f|d)

Woodworkers with EBA qualifications manufacture and assemble components and products. They are familiar with the machines, tools and materials required for this work. As a woodworker, your work involves intensive engagement with wood as a raw material.
Tasks
During the two-year vocational training programme, you will acquire comprehensive knowledge about wood, forests and the timber industry. You will learn how to use various machines. You will also learn how to implement regulations for environmental protection, health and safety at work. As a prospective woodworker, you will acquire theoretical knowledge during weekly vocational school sessions. You will acquire practical skills through your work at Erlenhof. Inter-company courses will deepen your knowledge of tools, machines, forklifts and chainsaws.
Development opportunities
- Individual further training and specialist training courses offered by the Swiss Timber Construction Association
- Follow-up training to become a wood industry specialist, carpenter or other professions related to woodworking
Requirements
Are you at least 15 years old, technically gifted and physically fit? The profession of woodworker is right for you if you also meet the following requirements:
- Completed primary school
- Enjoy working with wood
- Adaptability; working conditions in the dynamic wood industry are constantly changing
- Simple calculations involving linear measurements are no problem for you
- You are able to work independently...
