In timber construction planning, we combine architecture and timber construction engineering to create precise, production-ready solutions. We analyse geometries, measure out the supporting structures, define materials and connections, fine-tune fire protection and insulation concepts – and much more besides. We manage all these functions and elements within the digital model, incorporating requirements around statics, building physics and implementation from the outset. We also integrate cost estimation and construction support to ensure the project stays on budget and up to quality standards throughout the entire construction phase. On the BIM platform, we work with you to develop the plans and ensure smooth implementation.

  • Verification of structural engineering: We provide all necessary structural verifications for timber supporting structures – in compliance with standards and tailored to the project. Our calculations form the basis for building permits, execution planning and production.

When timber burns, the progress of the fire is predictable and controlled. This means we can precisely calculate how a given building might burn and the bearing capacity of timber components. This knowledge forms the basis for effective fire protection. Our fire protection specialists integrate fire protection measures into timber construction planning from the outset and develop comprehensive fire protection concepts – for timber construction projects in Switzerland and internationally.

Sustainability and carbon footprint calculation

As a renewable raw material, timber makes any timber construction sustainable from the ground up – from the planning phase onwards. Timber stores carbon, so every tonne of timber used makes a measurable contribution to a building’s carbon footprint. When we plan timber construction projects, we consider material volumes, life cycle costs and sustainability certifications right from the start. We also incorporate all of our specialised knowledge and experience from other areas – in wood-clay construction, for example.
