Timber construction is a modern, sustainable building method which combines expert craftsmanship with industrial prefabrication and creative freedom with structural precision. This results in timber constructions suitable for a wide range of uses with impressive functional and architectural qualities. Based on a renewable material, they also come with a favourable life cycle assessment.
Timber construction: innovative building methods
Timber construction is among the most technically sophisticated building methods. Digital planning, automated production and modern timber materials enable solutions that go far beyond traditional constructions. Depending on the specific requirements, we plan and implement each timber construction project using one of our specialist timber construction methods or a combination of different methods.
Free Form timber construction: geometry without limits
Complex geometries and Free Form supporting structures that seem to defy reality? To achieve these results, we use a three-dimensional model for parametric planning and scripting of the project. The CNC technology then produces the components with precision handling and in a wide variety of forms. And step by step, the vision of a timber construction project gradually becomes reality.
Prefabricated timber construction, supporting structures and CLT production
Wall, ceiling, roof and floor elements form the basis of many modern timber constructions. We prefabricate these parts, along with the supporting structures for a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial buildings, in our factory and deliver them directly to the construction site. The production of large-format CLT solid timber panels in our own laminating facility further increases the efficiency of element production and reduces transport emissions.
Modular timber construction: prefabrication to the highest standard
Modular timber construction adapts quickly to new space requirements and uses clear processes for efficient building. We manufacture the modules in our factory and deliver them directly to the construction site in virtually complete form. They can be flexibly combined to form buildings with social functions, such as residential buildings, schools and offices. And they can be relocated as required, resulting in a system that constantly reimagines spaces and buildings.
Silo and facilities construction: special timber solutions
We design and build timber silos with all the components required to create complete facilities for winter road maintenance. We plan, develop and assemble systems that precisely coordinate processes and technologies, including conveyor and brine technology. Regular servicing keeps facilities functional and ensures reliable operations.
Conversions, extensions and additional storeys: expanding existing buildings
Timber construction creates new space when existing buildings reach their limits, adapting to new requirements with additional storeys and extensions. Timber is a lightweight material with positive structural properties which enables short construction times. Renovations can improve energy values and create additional surface area for ongoing evolution of existing space.
Timber constructions: range of forms, uses, constructions
Timber constructions allow for an impressive variety of structures and forms. Multi-storey structures, large spans, curved geometries, complex facades – timber construction is suited to just about any dimensions, giving architects near-limitless design freedom. Timber constructions create high-quality spaces for living and working. They also meet all requirements for fire protection, soundproofing and thermal insulation too.
Timber construction is suited to a huge range of applications:
- In residential construction – from detached houses and apartment buildings to residential complexes
- In commercial and industrial construction
- In educational buildings such as schools and nurseries
- In hotels and restaurants
- In sports and cultural buildings
- In winter road maintenance in the form of silo structures
- In the conversion, extension and addition of storeys to existing buildings
