Tasks
• You will secure, plan and manage the supply of round timber to our production facilities, ensuring that the raw material is available in the right quantities and at the right time.
• You will maintain existing relationships with forest owners, forestry operations and timber merchants, and build long-term partnerships.
• You will conduct price and contract negotiations confidently and in a goal-oriented manner.
• Together with internal and external partners, you will coordinate timber transport and work closely with production, logistics and senior management.
• You will monitor the market and identify trends and opportunities in the timber trade at an early stage.
Requirements
• Training in the forestry or timber sector (e.g. timber industry specialist, forest ranger, forester, carpenter)
• Ideally, further training in forestry, the timber sector or business administration
• Experience in round timber procurement, the timber trade or timber processing
• You enjoy building networks and long-term business relationships
• You impress with your confident manner, negotiating skills and initiative
• You enjoy working independently and remain calm and in control even in hectic situations
