Tasks
- Operate, administer, monitor, and continuously improve our multi-site LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg
- Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and access points
- Manage and further develop site-to-site and remote-access VPN connections
- Support the secure segmentation of IT and OT environments, including production facilities, machine connectivity, and remote maintenance access
- Analyze and sustainably resolve network incidents, including escalation management, root cause analysis, and documentation
- Plan and implement infrastructure projects such as site expansions, network modernization, and SD-WAN initiatives
- Integrate cloud services and hybrid environments with the local network infrastructure
- Coordinate with service providers, external partners, and technology vendors
- Participate in the service desk (rotating schedule) and share technical know-how within the team
Requirements
- Completed education in Information Technology or a comparable qualification
- Several years of practical experience in network operations or a systems engineering role with a strong networking focus
- Sound knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, WLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with VPN technologies and VLAN concepts
- Strong understanding of IT security, ideally complemented by experience with OT or industrial networks
- Advantageous: experience with SD-WAN, network monitoring tools, and network automation
- Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts (Azure Networking, hybrid connectivity)
- Independent and structured working style: you identify needs, prioritize tasks, implement solutions, and communicate proactively
- Excellent German and good English language skills
