Large timber silo for salt and brine in Abstatt

Sometimes numbers speak louder than words. A silo facility that exceeds our previous dimensions has been built in Abstatt. The heart of the project is the largest round timber silo we have ever produced – with a capacity of 800 m³ and a diameter of 9 metres.

The facility was commissioned by Heilbronn District Office and meets the high technical and functional requirements of our customers. Thanks to our experience in silo and facilities construction, we were able to implement a compact, efficient and low-maintenance solution that collects salt and brine in separate containers.

The Abstatt project illustrates the trend in modern silo construction: larger facilities can replace expensive salt halls, saving space, plus construction and maintenance costs. At the same time, there are environmental benefits from the use of wood as a renewable raw material and the compact construction.
