Modular Silo Facility Mesocco

In Mesocco, at the foot of the San Bernardino Pass, Blumer Lehmann realized a new modular silo facility for the Swiss Federal Roads Office (USTRA). The two timber silos, each with a capacity of 400 m³, are used for storing de-icing salt for winter road maintenance. Thanks to modular construction, automated conveying technology, and precise measuring and weighing systems, an efficient and low-maintenance solution was created. The substructure made of fire-galvanized, duplex-coated steel and the electrically height-adjustable filling hoppers ensure durable and safe operation under alpine conditions.
