The 4c hotel and residential complex in Andermatt complements the tourist offerings in this fast-growing holiday region. Blumer Lehmann is responsible for the planning, production and assembly of the timber facade and roof elements.
The development has 66 rooms, restaurants and bars, 164 apartments and a spa and fitness area. The complex comprises three individual buildings connected by a lobby area on the ground floor.
Implementation will take place in stages. In the first phase, the external walls from the 1st to the 5th floor will be built. The second phase includes the external walls of the upper floors as well as the interior walls, ceiling, roof and dormer elements. 3D planning will form the basis for coordinated and efficient execution, which is essential in such confined construction site conditions.
A distinctive feature of the buildings are the timber facades between the window elements, which define their appearance and highlight the timber construction. Due to the high structural requirements and the loads to be borne, elements made of ash wood were used for the roof beams.
