Creative solutions for additional living space

Due to the location in the agricultural zone of Oetwil am See, demolition or partial demolition of the house was not an option in this renovation project. As a result, all interior walls and ceilings were removed, the cellar was lowered and the floors were rebuilt with higher ceilings. Large windows make for bright rooms that appear bigger. Thanks to clever staircase planning, even the smallest spaces could be accessed. Where necessary, old wood was replaced and the structural stability reinforced. In addition, a new photovoltaic installation on the roof provides sustainable power.
