Modular school building using ‘Modular X’ system

The school pavilion provides the municipality of Beinwil am See with a flexible, short-term solution to its need for space for teaching and child supervision. The two-storey pavilion conforms to the Minergie standard and has controlled ventilation. The main building measures 30.28 x 9.35 m, while the extension measures 12.09 x 6.05 m. The building is accessed via an external steel staircase. The school pavilion combines the benefits of temporary architecture (mobility, rapid availability, re-usability) with the advantages offered by more challenging architecture (quality of space, high construction quality, flexibility, energy efficiency, ecological building materials).
