Another milestone for the production of element and timber modules
The topping-out ceremony marks an important milestone in the construction of our new factory in Steinau an der Straße. Together with craftspeople, project partners, Blumer Lehmann employees and the mayor of Steinau an der Straße, Christian Zimmermann, we celebrated the progress of the construction and thanked everyone involved for their efforts.
A celebration for the craft and the people behind the project
The topping-out ceremony is a long-standing tradition in timber construction. It marks the completion of a significant construction phase and honours the people who contribute to the progress of a building with their expertise, their commitment and their daily work.
In Steinau an der Straße, this tradition was celebrated together with everyone who contributes to the success of the project. The occasion provided an opportunity for encounters, conversations and a look at what has already been achieved.
New site in Steinau an der Straße
The new plant is part of the company’s growth strategy: it replaces the previous production facility in the nearby town of Großenlüder and significantly increases capacity. The first construction phase on the 38,000 m2 site in the West II industrial area will create over 5,400 m2 of production and storage space, including production lines for wall, ceiling and floor elements as well as modular assembly. The plant is designed for an annual capacity of 400 wooden modules. In two further expansion phases, the capacity can be doubled or even tripled.
Together we are building the future of the site
With the new plant, we are creating the conditions to further expand our expertise in the production of element and timber modules. The new building strengthens the Steinau an der Straße site and forms the basis for the next steps in the project development.
The topping-out ceremony shows: the project is visibly growing. At the same time, it stands for the good cooperation of all those involved, who are advancing the construction day by day.
Thank you for your cooperation
We would like to thank all the craftspeople, specialist planners, project partners and employees who are contributing to the progress of the construction with their commitment. Together we have achieved an important milestone. Together we will take the next steps.
